A wooden construction kit of the Gry Maritha, Scilly’s cargo ship, designed and laser cut by Emma on St Mary’s. Ages 9+.
Build your own Gry Maritha with this wooden construction kit. The Gry Maritha is the cargo ship that used to keep Scilly supplied, before retiring and being replaced by the Menawethan, carrying everything from food to building materials across from Penzance to the islands.
This is one of Emma’s larger kits, designed and laser cut from poplar ply in her studio on St Mary’s, with instructions she writes herself. As a former design and technology teacher with a passion for hands-on learning, she makes each kit to be fun to build while developing practical skills and creativity along the way. Everything you need is in the box: the parts, paint, glue and instructions.
