Meet the Puffins of Mincarlo, a family of seven puffins named after one of Scilly’s small uninhabited islands: Mum, Dad and their five pufflings. Each one has a Cornish name with its own meaning, and a personality of its own, from a pair of glasses to a beak full of feathers.
Each kit makes one puffin. Emma designs every puffin and writes the instructions herself, then laser cuts the poplar ply parts in her studio on St Mary’s. As a former design and technology teacher with a passion for hands-on learning, she makes each kit to be fun to build while developing practical skills and creativity along the way. Paint, glue and instructions are all in the box, so you can paint your puffin however you like.
Suitable from age 6, they make a lovely rainy-day project, and once finished, each puffin stands up on its own two feet. Collect the whole family.
