Description
The waters around Scilly are famous for their clarity. On a still day, you can lean over the side of a boat and see straight down to the sand, the kelp and the sunlight dancing across the seabed.
Below the Surface is Emma’s largest picture and her tribute to that view. Hundreds of circles, each built from tiny clay tiles, ripple and overlap like light moving through the water. Made and signed by Emma in her studio on St Mary’s, it is an original piece, and there is only one.
