Nine blue clay pieces in a wooden walnut frame, ready to lift out and rearrange. However you place them, the lines always meet.

This blue interactive tile art piece is a Moving Picture made of nine clay pieces, set in a three-by-three grid inside a walnut frame. Each one is a mosaic of cornflower and periwinkle blue, crossed by deep navy lines and lit here and there with pale cream.
Every piece lifts out. Turn one round or swap it with its neighbour, and the navy lines will still join up, because Emma designs each piece so its edges connect in any position. That gives you thousands upon thousands of arrangements to play with, and a picture that never has to look the same twice.
Like all of Emma’s art, the pieces are made from tiny tiles of extruded polymer clay, assembled by hand in her studio on St Mary’s. Each picture comes with a solid wood stand, engraved with its name, that holds it at a gentle angle so the pieces stay in place. It’s art you’re actually encouraged to touch.
