Description
Old Town Beach is a sheltered sweep of sand on St Mary’s, where twice a day the tide leaves behind a new line of pebbles, shells and seaweed. Islanders swim there in summer and walk there all year round, always finding something different at the water’s edge.
Old Town Beach brings that shoreline indoors, pieced together tile by tiny clay tile in Emma’s studio on St Mary’s. It is an original piece, and there is only one.
